Guide

# Quickstart

Create, review, deploy, and connect to your first hosted MCP.

## 1\. Add a source

Open the MCP Ops console, create a new MCP project, then provide a public OpenAPI URL, upload a specification, or paste Markdown. For documentation sources, also provide the public upstream API base URL.

## 2\. Review the generated tools

Wait for generation to finish, then inspect each tool name, description, schema, request mapping, and risk annotation. Disable anything you do not intend to expose.

## 3\. Deploy a runtime

Choose a unique endpoint slug and a runtime class. MCP Ops schedules the container and marks the deployment ready only after health checks pass.

## 4\. Create an API key

Create a project key after deployment. Copy it immediately because the secret is shown once and stored only as a hash.

## 5\. Connect your client

Use the HTTPS endpoint shown in the project and send the key as an Authorization: Bearer header.
